The merger of NewFoods and Roha is a coming together of similar business philosophies and complementary business segments. Speaking about the acquisition, MD-Roha Group, Mr. Brijesh Tibrewala says: “The merger of NewFoods, while bringing Roha into the segment of dehydrated natural ingredients gets Roha even closer to its customers with a complimentary offer positioned around its color original focus. Coupling ranges will allow us to leverage abundant opportunities in natural market segments.”

Mr. Tibrewala told FoodIngredientsFirst: “The growing demand for natural food products has led the increased use of naturally derived fruit and vegetable extracts and powders. The market data is already showing this demand for fruit and vegetable powders, with their clean label appeal, health benefits and long shelf life. The food manufacturers are picking up on the trend and Roha is naturally addressing it, which is why we are investing in the manufacturing of fruits and vegetables into powders for nutrition, texture and aromatic properties. Packaged foods, beverages and consumer health will enjoy the most growth potential for these types of ingredients.”

“The longer shelf life that the powder offers without losing the nutritional value and without the need of being frozen, convenience in use, and microbial stability are the Key advantages of such ingredients like the ones manufactured in Verona by New Foods Industry,” he explains.

“The acquisition will help Roha to strengthen its position in the natural ingredients market, on top of its leading natural color market position,” adds Tibrewala.

Benefiting from its global footprint in industrial, R&D, procurement, and sales (13 manufacturing sites and application centers on all continents), Roha claims to ensure strong local customer proximity with more diversified product portfolio, bringing other organoleptic innovative solutions and supporting its customers with strong application and technical support.
